We all know what it feels like to live in lack. To feel that fear of not having enough: not enough time, not enough money, not enough love, not enough support. Living in lack can be a scary and deeply painful experience, especially during a holiday season like Thanksgiving.
But it is an illusion…
Lack is an energy. It is a thick veil that we pull over our own eyes till we cannot see the abundance that surrounds us. It is not our reality!
Our Guru is here to give us everything we need. With him, we are always plugged into an endless source of love and provision.
The awakening of the third eye enables us to tap into the unending source that provides for the entire universe. Guru, through the technique of Brahm Gyan, has enabled us to connect with this source.
All it takes is a willingness to lift the veil that’s obscuring our vision and see the good gifts God gives us. He pours out generously to all who are bold enough to hold out their cup.
Many people fall into the trap of thinking that gratitude is a result of happiness. “When I get this, then I will finally be happy.” “When I am successful, then I will feel grateful.” “When I don’t have to worry, then I will feel at peace.”
But it actually works the other way around.
It is gratitude that produces happiness. It is the act of giving thanks that opens us up to greater abundance. It is tapping into our inner peace that frees us from the worries of this world.
Whatever we focus on multiplies. When we think about all the things we don’t have, we keep ourselves in lack. When we count our blessings, they will continue to wash over us.
Research shows that journaling about what you are thankful for versus your daily frustrations is associated with more optimism and overall well-being, positive mood, better sleep, and greater acts of generosity1.
But don’t just take my word for it – test it out in your own life and see what you find!
As Thanksgiving approaches, let us choose to enter this season expressing deep gratitude to our Guru. Gratitude is a choice. Choose wisely.
